The Vision 2030 is a Global plan of action for people, planet and prosperity.
It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom.
Nothing is as dangerous as old ideas that are still profitable.
Without a foundational shift in human values and citizens capacities, external solutions to our global challenges are limited, too slow or short-lived. We have the ability to shift from this position.
Through IT'S FOR US VISION 2030 – Young Global Citizens, formulated under the
Green Jobs Mentorship Program at Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens,
you can realize your vision.
THE VISION IN 2015
World leaders set out a supremely ambitious and transformational vision. They envisage a world free of poverty, hunger, disease and want, where all life can thrive. They envisage a world free of fear and violence. A world with universal literacy. A world with equitable and universal access to quality education at all levels, to health care and social protection, where physical, mental and social well-being are assured. A world where our rights as children are reaffirmed as set out in the UNCRC of 1989. A world where human habitats are safe, resilient and sustainable and where there is universal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy. A world fit for us YOUNG GLOBAL CITIZENS!
WHERE'S THE VISION NOW?
IT’S FOR US VISION 2030 – Young Global Citizens
Here we explore how Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating and Acting become a unified catalyst for global change for each of us as young global citizens. Starting to unlearn what is known is part of the task. Allowing us mental licenses to transgress. Here we will be inspired to resume respectful conversations with nature and people. To harness creativity by tapping into the Vision of our countries.
OUR WORLD TODAY
We have resources available to us to enable us build our individual Vision. The Inner Development Goals that enable us introspect on how we can live purposeful, sustainable, and productive lives. The Biodiversity Plan which is a powerful action plan to halt biodiversity loss and preserve life on earth. And the 17 Global Goals that provides a concise roadmap for achieving the vision our leaders had.
With so much resources, why are we still left behind as young Global Citizens?
Do we have the tools to recognize the work that our world leaders have put in to secure our futures?
HOW DO I GET MY STAKE OF THE VISION 2030?
First, realize you have the potential!
Realize and utilize your rights.
Purpose to sustain life on a healthy planet that delivers essential benefits for all people including you!
We should practice Biodiversity by fulfilling What the Earth asks of us! Which is …Not much.
Only that we take part in this magical equation, giving and taking with care.
